Asfaazam Kasbani Assistant Resident Representative, United Nations Development Programme

Asfaazam is the Head of Energy and Environment Cluster, UNDP Malaysia. His current work in UNDP includes coordinating several GEF-assisted energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, energy for poverty reduction strategies, climate change and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). He holds a B.Sc in Engineering Physic from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA and M.Sc in Industrial and Technology Management from the National University of Malaysia. He has in total more than 14 years of experience in sustainable energy work and was appointed as the country focal point for over six years in the ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Sub-Sector Network (EE&C SSN), a network among ASEAN member countries in sharing and dissemination of EE best practises.
