Freight & Customs

Some goods attract customs duties, particularly if they are offered for sale. Duty will be refunded on goods that are re-exported. Quarantine inspections of all goods will be carried out and in some cases, fumigation will be required.

In order to facilitate efficient clearance, all goods being imported into Sabah must arrive at least 14 days before the start of the Expo. Clearance of goods received after that date cannot be guaranteed in time for the official opening.

Once you are confirmed as an exhibitor, an exhibitors' handbook will be sent to you. Included in the exhibitors' handbook are details of quarantine regulations and a customs declaration form which should be completed and faxed to the appointed forwarders. All information pertaining to the cargo, including the value, must be listed on the customs declaration or associated invoices. Please be advised to use the cost of merchandise and not the retail or the proposed selling price.
